| Bluejacket.com does NOT sell
insignia, posters or pictures. A search of the internet using Google.com
or other first line search engine will reveal a number of dealers.
Here are a few links that appear to have good material.
Bluejacket.com has NO business connection with these firms and does not endorse or vouch for
their service.
Patches/Insignia
AV8RStuff.com Aviation
patches gone wild. Lots of
specific cruise patches if you really want to remember.
BCPatch.com Some vintage
stock and fair pricing. Former submariner has all the U.S. submarine patches.
MarinePatches.com
Marine Corps aviation insignia galore. Kind enough to let Bluejacket.com copy
some missing squadron patches.
McGrogans.com Chief McGrogan carries an outstanding stock of
small unit
insignia - brown water Navy specialist.
Military-Graphics Jim,
Navy retired, turns any patch or military emblem into a vinyl decal for a reasonable
price
MitchellProffitt.com
Supplier of generic stuff for the bx/px systems but a poor selection if any for
specific units.
PlaneCrazyEnt.com Excellent selection of aviation
patches
RexWess.com The best
selection of Coast Guard items is from Rex, a retired Coastie. Check out
his book on
USCG patches.
SaundersInsignia.com
Big daddy military device supplier but mostly generic stuff for your grandma's
shelf
TheBattleZone.com
All services, a bit of everything and well organized.
Posters
PostersInc.com Reproductions. Main source for the recruitment
poster dealers.
Pictures
DefenseLink.mil
Latest images and news releases from DOD. URL seems to change weekly.
archives.gov National
Archives and Records Administration. Patience will yield amazing results.
USNI.org Naval
Institute picture library has all U.S. Navy ship photos back to 1900 for a fee.
National Museum of Naval Aviation Buehler Library holds over 500k U.S. naval
aviation photos and on request will provide a limited number of digital scans
via email.
Note: Most patch/insignia and poster dealers stock reproductions. Original items are rare
but occasionally may be found. Watch out for highly padded "shipping and
handling" fees of some eBay dealers. If you don't see the shipping fees
posted it is best to verify shipping and any bogus handling fees before you buy. One seller demanded $7.00 to ship a $0.99
purchase of a
flat 8x10 paper item. The actual postage came to $1.84 first class with packing.
